The assignment this week was to draw ourselves in the style of UPA studios. A little too overlapping, I could go more 2-d. BUT IT WAS FUN I LIKE THIS STYLE WEEEEE~!

Shot through the heart!

For Tuesday's homework we had to draw an interpretation of cupid.

This is The Cupid Kid. She's a young space cow-girl who rides on her trusty lovebug, Steed, running around the galaxy and reforming criminals through love! Bounty-hunter and honorary sheriff in some parts, The Cupid Kid is a spunky little spitfire who doesn't take no sssslack from nobody.

Her design is meant to be pretty cutesy and just plain silly. Those old cherub paintings used to have long cloths to cover their privates so I gave her long, flowing hair. The back of her vest is embroidered with her cupidy-wings. The guns were unfortunately a last-minute addition, I was just gonna have her using her fingers to shoot hearts, but the notion of the gun telling people "BANG" was just too cheeky to pass-up. ;P
I shoulda used reference for Steed, but oh well. SPOTS BECAUSE LADYBUG I GUESS adsfjlafkjkl

TX Avery

Homework again! This time it was Tex Avery. The only girl reference though was this really pretty lady, so I tried a bit of that, and a big grin, but the real fun is down at the bottom where I look like a  goon. (bouo)b

Not very good but oh well it was fun.

Rubberhose

Another homework! For this we had to draw in the "Rubberhose" style of cartoons. IT WAS P FUN--apparently I like Flip the Frog a lot now ahaha. :v Mostly I used Scrappy as a reference, though, since the other cartoons only had girls who looked like flappers (or were animals). :c

Homework for this day was "Draw yourself as a superhero." MAGICAL GIRLS ARE P CLOSE I GUESS--so there's me. As a shoe-summoning magical girl. Oh boy gosh golly...

Ey Frankiiie!

Our teacher has this big, cardboard box of toys (seriously movie-style man), and we had to pick one and draw them. I just grabbed something and it happened to be this guy:

Then we had to pose them dynamically, but the only thing that moved were his hips (like a hula-girl, heheh) and his arms.

ACTION MAFIOSO WHO SECRETLY WANTS TO BELLY DANCE! WITH THE POWER TO LOOK LIKE HE'S DOING KNUCKLE PUSH-UPS! NOW WITH OVERBITE. Sweat not included.
Oh, and then we had to make them a "sidekick". Here's the initial ideas:

The dude in the hat's my favorite but I thought triangle buddies would make a better dynamic.

Poor kid. His name is probably Alvin. I think all five of them would be in some kinda dumb gang though, like that little guy is their boss but he's so happy all the time nobody really takes him seriously aww.

Matt Groening

For our third homework we drew ourselves in the style of The Simpsons by Matt Groening.

I DON'T--like how it came out. I tried to do the silly belly thing but that's more for kids and mens and the women actually have slender body shapes! Oh well, the no-chin was interesting.

In class we had to draw ourselves and then draw ourselves as caricatures so there's more of that. I haven't lined these yet so they're hard to see but OH WELL.

Our teacher had us draw ourselves in the style of The Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz. I changed the shoes but don' really care, heheh... >u>
